Seat refurb: Spring cage repairs

I've repaired quite a few of these now.
The frame itself is just mild steel I believe so can be repaired with mild steel cut down to the right size and welded in.
Here's a beetle frame I did a few years back.

The clips are known as "Bent Wire Spring clips". I've never found any that are the exact same length as the originals but these are close enough: https://www.heico-direct.co.uk/product/bent-wire-bw-spring-clips-x-100-pcs/
I've a box of these. Let me know if you want me to drop a few in the post for you as a they only seem to come in bulk quantity.

Hopefully this should do it. Going to try replace a few springs but might end up pinching from one seat to repair the rest and then re make one as the springs probably won't match exactly! Fingers crossed it can't get any worse!
