1967 double door Type4 powered AUTOMATIC "yellow submarine"

Post by VRsixth »

Ok , its time to show a little bit. Here's my old dog. Since 19 years with me. Looks quite good few years ago and been in use for everyday despite thirsty type4 engine and clunky stock box with reduction.

After few years i have left my bus somewhere outside. Corrosion start unfortunately and I decided its time to make some major upgrades.

So first lets make solid IRS conversion. Porsche 924 arms arrived:

It's been powered by type 4 since i own it , but i had a plan to build some steroid supercharged type4 and strong
box to handle that power. And yes , it will be an automatic as i love them.
Fastest possible option has been choose - T25 unit with 3,73 diff. Found one ex-police Caravelle with great service history and small millage:

Best I know those boxes can easily take 300 bhp, often in use for drag racing in Sweden and States.

Lets start power to come on. Has to be supercharged fuel injected type4. Intake project and cooling begin.
