Dormobile style front curved roof rack to fit CP

Post by rusty1962 »

I've just finished this "J Rax" curved fronted roof rack which is made to fit a bus with a Canterbury Pitt roof

Comes with four "Klampz" and adjustable feet

£350 in the raw or £400 Powder coated to a few RAL colours

Modelled here on Rusty

Hi,

Are you able to produce roof rack for a dormobile as in the enclosed photos with sloping sides and curved base.

If so at what price?

Cheers peter

Hi Peter

Mine are as in the photo of my bus in the top photo.

Not quite so "slopy" and the internal base is flat rather than curved which, in my view, makes it more usable.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for replying but I am looking for the original curved base design.

I shipped one in from the US. Bullidriver in Florida makes them. I posted the details on here somewhere, search bullidriver and they should turn up.
But it'll be a lot of faff when Steve makes these ones.

Thanks Steve

Mine are a lot cheaper too because I looked into importing some myself.

I'd have bought your ones at the drop of a hat if they'd been around when I was looking. They're fantastic.

Sorry to wake this thread up from 2016 but I'm after one of these front Cab Roof Racks - Do you still make them? The website doesn't list them.

Good call R32GUY, I've been thinking about getting a curved Dormi rack for a while, this could be the catalyst I need.
Steve, are you still making the racks? let us know!

Hi guys

I still make them as time allows and I don't have a lot of spare time.

If you keep in touch I'll be able to make one eventually but I have a waiting list!
