except for the fast flashing indicator..
Fast flashing suggests insufficient load on the relay. Have you checked the front indicator is working on that side? You may also have a blown bulb.

Re: New Ownership and a few questions

1/. Test the coil with a multimeter before writing it off. (Method 2 here... https://www.wikihow.com/Test-an-Ignition-Coil ). A lack of spark at the coil could also be points/condensor fault in the distributor (or electronic points if you have them). Testing the coil windings with a multimeter will ...

Re: V55/5 filling in help...

Is this for your AWD bus, or another one? If it's for the AWD bus, then I don't know, because it'll be a custom car. If it's for another, unmodified bus, then... 1/. Yes* 2/. Shouldn't be a problem. The weights and measures of what it was when it was built won't have changed. I'm pretty certain the ...

Re: Crows Feet question?

If you're not bothered about the year, why care whether they're crowsfeet or not? The lug holes are hidden behind the hubcap clips anyhow. You'll be the only person to know whether they're correct    for your year (and month of course) or not. I have four year & month-corr...

Thanks both. I'll go with emulsion.

G - I reckon that art board stuff is probably impermeable and a bit soft for the walls.

Re: Garage interior paint?

I'd have liked to board it out, but the garage isn't wide enough. I can barely get the wheels on and off now. If I lost another inch and a half off off each wall, I'd really struggle. I even considered using moisture resistant plasterboard and just dot and dab fixing it (no battens), but there isn't...

Garage interior paint?

I'm looking for tips or recommendation for paint to do the interior walls of may garage to lighten it up. My single cab lives in a flat-roofed single-skin detached brick garage with a concrete floor. It's reasonably sheltered in the space between our house and our neighbours. It's well ventillated a...

Re: Power coat

Hub cap clips don't seem to be tempered and tempered items like suspension springs can be powder coated anyhow, so I can't see a problem if you leave them fitted or replace them all before powder coating. Whenever I've replaced original clips on my truck's wheels, I've found the base black wheel pai...

Pair of accessory slip over head restraints / head rests

Good overall condition. Height adjustable. These slip over the back rest of the seat and your body weight on the long part of the frame holds them in place. They were pretty comfortable when I tried them out. The front part extends down quite a way, so they didn't dig in to my shoulders when I tried...

Foreign online parts sellers using .co.uk URLs

We don't seem to have had a fresh bitching session for a few months, so here's mine - Car parts vendors based in mainland Europe who use ".co.uk" URLs to make you think they're a UK seller. They often appear high up, or at the top of the Google search results if you search for a part number. Don't w...

Re: Another push rodtube question...

I used Scat. Tips to avoid leaks if you decide to go with them:- 1/. use a screwdriver to manipulate the metal washers so they press evenly on the seal (they should be parallel to the case/heads, because the tubes aren't flexible so sit at an angle to the case/heads) 2/. clean the seal seats well an...

The vw engine company did the machining work on my case and crank. They were really helpful. I'll happily recommend them.
