Re: 1962 Gardena Gypsy VW / Volkswagen Splitscreen Campervan for Sale

That’s a bit of a flaw in the advert isn’t it. I think my profile still says Lincolnshire but you are right, having written an essay I can’t believe I missed that bit out! I am in a village on the outskirts of Lincoln. If it helps I’ve now uploaded the video which if the forum allows me to post A li...

SOLD 1962 Gardena Gypsy VW / Volkswagen Splitscreen Campervan for Sale

For sale is our 1962 Gardena Gypsy VW Campervan.  We’ve thought long and hard about this as I know I’ll never get another like it, but after 11 years of very happy ownership and endless family enjoyment and memories we feel it is the right time to consider moving on.  As our children grow older the ...

HTL47D is it still out there?

I’m sure it is still out there but does anyone on here know who may own it? I see it doesn’t have an mot but of course it may now be registered such that it doesn’t need one. It is a 1966 13 window deluxe originally in velvet green and pearl white but I’m sure I saw it restored as a wedding bus afte...

Redirad 6v kit to play phone etc through your radio

If anyone is looking for a way to play their music through their existing 6v radio then this may be of interest. I had it fitted to my 6v beetle for a few months but that has been sold now so I don’t have a particular use for it anymore. I’m sure I’ve seen lots of clever ways to this but I have to s...

Re: Waterproof cover

Neil Looks like they were around £100 new so how does £45 sound plus £5 towards postage or you could collect if you wish. If you don’t want it then that really is fine. Also if you aren’t in a rush for it then I may be able to meet you part way on a run out next weekend if the weather isn’t bad at s...

Re: Waterproof cover

This is the one I have. It is a cover systems cover. Haven’t used it for years but it is used so has a few marks and is a bit musty! Appears to have a zip that allows you into the door of the van when on but I can’t remember exactly what it looks like to be honest. Was your intention to buy or borro...

Re: Waterproof cover

When you say old does that mean cheap along with it? I had two of them at one stage but now only have one left I think but as I don’t use it I could let it go potentially. Only problem is I think I kept the better quality and therefore more expensive one. I’ll have a look in the morning to check I s...

Pedal pan for LHD

I’ve got this pedal pan which from memory is for a LHD split bus or possibly early bay? The one on my van I have painted in POR15 and I can’t see me needing this as a spare given it still looks ok after 11years! Top side has surface rust as you can see and underside has had under seal applied but un...

Re: Wiring Harness

I think Peters son now runs http://www.volksgoods.co.uk/ with Peter helping in the background. I had a loom from peter and my electrical knowledge was zero. I followed his diagrams with my loom and everything worked first time and has done for the last 10 plus years. Hence, drop them a message as I ...

Re: Fishing in the fuel tank

This would be completely hit and miss and would genuinely need you to go fishing with the chances of catching being limited but it was the only thing I could think of. Perhaps combined with above it may work?! https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/cht605/?da=1&TC=GS-040210605&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIv5bQsr6t6AI...
